Hazel shares her NHS memories

Hazel shares experience as a healthcare assistant.

I came to be an employee for the NHS during the Pandemic, through a partnership between the NHS and The Prince’s Trust.

I started out as ward support, taking the pressure off nursing and admin staff whilst I was pregnant with my son, then worked my way into a healthcare assistant role, which is what I’m doing now.

The nurses I work with are a massive source of inspiration to me and I hope to undertake a nursing degree in the future.

It’s been a bumpy road for us all lately, but look how far our healthcare system has come!
