Neuro rehab services review

NHS Somerset is reviewing our neuro rehabilitation services in Somerset.

NHS Somerset is in the process of reviewing neurological rehabilitation services in Somerset.

This piece of work is in its early stages and we will continue to update this page with information and details of how you can get involved as the programme progresses.

Neurological rehabilitation (Neuro rehab) aims to improve function, reduce symptoms, and improve the wellbeing of people with diseases, trauma, or disorders of the nervous system. It does not cover the sudden, acute, or emergency onset of these conditions, but is focused on rehabilitation.

Our aim

Our aim is to ensure that neuro rehabilitation care in Somerset is:

  • Equitable
  • High quality
  • Efficient
  • Well led
  • Sustainable
  • Attractive
  • Innovative.

Working with people and communities

We want to work with our local people and communities as we develop our case for change, and begin to think about potential ways to improve services.

We are currently working with local relevant community and support groups and people with lived experience of neuro rehab services in Somerset. We will continue to develop these relationships and offer opportunities for people to get involved and have their voices heard as we progress our work.
