Margaret talks about her volunteering experience.
What do you do?
I work in the League of Friends Shop and do Meet and Greet at the information desk.
Why did you choose to volunteer?
I have been volunteering since 1959 when I joined my mother, during school holidays, pushing the trolley around the wards and have continued on and off since then serving as a trustee and secretary to the Committee for several years and served on the fundraising committee.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Meeting people.
What advice would you give to someone who was thinking about volunteering in health and care?
Go for it.
