Roger shares his NHS memories

We spoke to Roger about his NHS experience.

Roger had his first hip replaced 17 years ago at Shepton Mallet Treatment Centre, with a metal hip and has no problems with it although he was dropped off by his wife who returned home and was just settling down with a cuppa and some peace and quiet when she was called to go and pick him up because the procedure had been cancelled.

He has since had another hip replaced in a private hospital 4 years ago (through insurance) and said he has had nothing but trouble from it.
