Sally shares her NHS memories

Sally shares her memories working as a nurse.

In 1966, I trained at Musgrove Park Hospital as a Nurse. Following several rotations in different wards I passed my exams which included some tough questions asked by a Matron from Guy’s Hospital in London.

There is a photo on the wall in the older part of Musgrove Park Hospital which is a drawing of a body I did with two colleagues. There is also has a photo of the original three nurses pointing at this picture together from a few years ago when we revisited Musgrove Park Hospital.

I moved to the Bristol Royal Infirmary to work following my training.

I turned 75 this year and I'm very proud to have been part of the NHS.
